Ernie is a big black and white tuxedo cat who appears to be completely healthy. Unfortunately, this 2- or 3-year-old kitty has tested positive for FIV. He needs a one-cat (or another FIV cat) indoor home, preferrably with an escape-proof outdoor enclosure. While FIV isn't transmittable to humans, it can be passed to other cats through blood, saliva, and other body fluids. Not all cats with FIV develop problems; there is a good chance that Ernie will live a long, healthy life despite his medical condition. Ernie was originally a stray, but he's extremely friendly and happy. He is still in foster care, but really needs loving care and a home to call his own.
Please call PFOA at 360-452-0414 if you can offer a safe, nice home for Ernie.
