PFOA is fortunate to have a very hard working team of staff members who keep things running smoothly from day to day.
Executive Director – Danette Grady is PFOA’s first Executive Director. She joined PFOA on June 1, 2014, and will initially be concentrating her efforts on fundraising, volunteers, and increasing our recognition in the community. Danette comes to us with 18 years’ experience with Living Free Animal Sanctuary, a no-kill shelter in Mountain Center, CA.
Shelter Director – Nancy Campbell is responsible for the overall operation of the shelter and the health and well-being of the animals. She intakes all of the animals, does the adoption counseling and oversees adoptions. She also job-shares as a Shelter Manager three days a week.
Shelter Manager – Della Floyd is one of our shelter managers who oversees the care of our cats and does some of the mountains of paperwork required at a shelter. She also closes the shelter (when Kimmie is off) and fills in whenever she is needed.
Office Manager – Patti Knodel is responsible for all bookkeeping and office records. She also performs Shelter Manager duties as required.
Animal Caretaker – Linzie Roberts is responsible for the continuity of care for the animals. She is a full time employee who also lives at the shelter.
Shelter Caretaker – Kimmie Pruitt is responsible for the general cleaning of the shelter, opening and closing the shelter, and feeding and medicating the animals. She is a full time employee, and her favorites are all the shelter kitties.
Special Needs Animal Caretaker – Tracy DuPuis cares for the special needs kitties at Barker House in Diamond Point. She is the sole caregiver for cats with various medical conditions, including diabetes.
Animal Care – Joyce Pollack opens and closes the shelter, and cleans and feeds the cats. She also grooms cats and kittens as needed. Joyce is a long-time PFOA volunteer who has never met a kitty she doesn’t absolutely love!
